πΌπWhat Art Means To Me
π₯ I can remember creating every piece of art I have ever made.
Like many people, when they hear a specific song-it takes them to a certain time in their life or brings back an instant memory.
π₯ I can remember where I was, what time of year and sometimes what I was wearing. I know what easel, brushes and types of paint I chose.
I can re-read the story of my life through viewing the paintings I have created over the years.
πΉ Color, movement, shape, line is my visual vocabulary that I use to express thoughts, feelings and emotions.
The canvas is the container that holds the story and allows it to come to life.
π« My process is one of allowing the painting to come through me, spontaneous without a specific plan.
I believe this is why when I create I feel so free, where time does not exist, and I go to a place far beyond the earthly plane where I connect to source.
π₯ The connection to source guides my paintings and based on this an exceptional occurring happens.
π The paintings are made for people I have not met yet or for people I know that respond immediately when a new painting becomes available.
π« This experience after many, years of creating, still takes my breath away and is why to me art is life.
π Art is my connection to everything greater than me but also to everything that surrounds and encompasses me including people, places, things, experiences, stories, events both tragic and magical.
Art transcends the ordinary and creates a higher vibration for myself when creating and to the person who I painted it for weather they asked me to or not.
π₯ When they bring the piece into their environment it changes the energy of their space.
π©π»π€ I ran into a collector that I had not seen in 16 years, she told me she just re-decorated her entire bedroom around the piece she collected those many years ago.
I have many collectors tell me that their room feels happier, safer and most interestingly that the art piece is allowing and assisting them to heal.
π₯ Making art is what keeps my spirit young and allows my soul to be old, it is my memory bank, my connection to something greater than myself, my offering of beauty and love to the world.
πHaving this ability is extremely humbling, art has allowed me to connect with people from many areas of the world.
It has allowed me to see people before I even know them and when my painting finds them it is as if we are old friends.
π Art transcends all boundaries that keep people separated, it is my first language that is universal. Art is my life.
